Dear Mr. Gaffney,

On behalf of the students and staff at Philips Preparatory School I would like to offer
sincere thanks and appreciation for all of your efforts on our behalf. The Character
First program is making a difference in the climate of our building because it is
changing the way we think and the way we support apporpriate behavior.

The staff inservice training you presented was well received and teachers are
implementing the character qualities daily in their classrooms. Mrs. Pegues-Miller is
using music to implement school-wide activities, and the teacher-coaches are working
effectively with the classes. They have been very understanding of the varied
schedules we have at the different grade levels.

You gave us a wonderful surprise with the $990.00 check from Mr. and Mrs. Haines!
We are grateful for your support and for your willingness to help us find extra
resources. In going the extra mile you have demonstrated a true school/community
partnership. We are indebted to you.
